Ever wonder why it is you ended up waking up in someone else’s bed the next morning? Or what inspired the early morning passions of your long time partner today? Well now you can get some help figuring it out thanks to some psychologists at the University of Texas.
With the help of 444 men and women they came up with a list of exactly 237 reasons humans have sex. Reasons range from, I was “horny”, to I wanted to change the topic of conversation. This list was then shown to 1549 undergrads who ranked the reasons in order of the most common reasons they engage in sex.
And the winning choice for both men and women? I was attracted to the person. Second and third place were It feels good and I wanted to experience the physical pleasure for both men and women although in reverse order.
For the most part the top 50 reasons are fairly expected and revolve around love and/or attraction. But you also get the others like I was drunk or I wanted to get a raise or I wanted to breakup my relationship.
