All That Jazzcotech

Rating: NNNNN

Sure, the DJ gets the limelight, but the unsung heroes of the club scene are those who move and shake to the scratchin’ and beat-makin’. Yes, we’re talking about the dancers, and T.O.’s produced some of the best dance crews around, like Bag o’ Trix, Back 2 Basics and She-Bang. Now, the UK’s Jazzcotech Dancers, one of the original fusion dance outfits, comes to town. They regularly perform with some of the world’s coolest jazz, funk and Latin bands, and their weekly Saturday-night gig, Messin’ Around, has heated up the London scene for years. They’re part of the Messin’ Around CD release party Saturday (November 3) at Lee’s Palace (529 Bloor West).
