As an encourager of out-of-the-box theatre, the Fringe inaugurates a series of micro-plays staged in small venues in the Honest Ed parking lot.
Six troupes have each been given eight two-hour slots to program as they want some are staging a pair of 45-minute shows every evening, others have shorter shows, and a few are curating casual drop-in events.
Among the shows – all pwyc – are Change Room, in which a performer (there are 50 in all) actually changes while talking about change in her or his life (from July 4). Headshots And Healing Potion is a series of short plays about video game fanatics (from July 4), while Stamped looks at a boy with autism and his attention-hungry sister (from July 4).
