Comedy Q & A
With her pack-a-day voice and manic energy, Laurie Elliott is one of the most entertaining hosts on the alt comedy scene. She might seem half-crazed and slightly drunk onstage, especially as the night wears on, but don't let that fool you. Beneath the "Jennifer Love Hewitt's bad older sister" hairdo is one of the quickest wits in town. No wonder she won this year's Tim Sims Encouragement Award. She hosts Monday's (May 14) ALT.COMedy Lounge night, and later in the month (May 23) headlines a stellar night at the Rivoli with her comedy partner, Kevin MacDonald, in the sketch duo Kevlor 2000.
