Jenn Robertson

Rating: NNNNN

Onstage, Jenn Robertson might seem a tad ditzy, but don’t be fooled. She’s got great timing and can surprise you with a snappy comeback that belies the awkward persona she so gracefully hones. Tuesday (May 18) she hosts a special Sketchcomedy Lounge night at the Rivoli. Half the show is devoted to an Inside The Actor’s Studio parody segment with Robertson, Erin Keaney, Geri Hall and Jennifer Whalen, her co-stars from the hit play To Die 4 (which broadcasts later this month on CBC). The dark comedy, which played a couple of years ago, is about women in dead-end jobs. Ironically, Robertson’s clearly on her way up. See Comedy Listings, page 86, for details.

Friends finale: pro or con? Friends: con. Finale: pro.

Most deadening job you’ve ever had? Wore Chuck E. Cheese costume for birthday parties.

How did you survive? Survive? I was once beaten up by a group of 12-year-old boys.

How did you celebrate Mother’s Day? Sent one of those cheesy cards from Hallmark that she loves so much.

Were you a “mean girl” in high school? The nickname Egg Salad Braces left me little chance for social climbing.

Last book that made you openly weep? Atlas Shrugged. I cried when I realized I was too stupid to understand really deep books.

Predictions for this summer’s trendy drink? The Spadina: two parts vodka, dash of street dirt, wilted lettuce, garnish with a fish head.
