You probably know Shenoah Allen and Mark Chavez as Sabotage, the sketch comedy act who every summer burn up the Fringe Festival circuit. Now the Albuquerque, New Mexico, duo is up north again but with a new name: the Pajama Men. I'm sure they'll explain the new moniker in their irreverent style at their latest show, Stop Not Going, on at the Tim Sims Playhouse until the end of the month. Definitely worth checking out, especially since they've got some of the best acts in the city opening for them, like the Rumoli Brothers, the Burnt Marshmallows and Chris Gibbs. See Comedy Listings, for details.
If you're the Pajama Men, who would you choose as your Pajama Women? Mark Chavez: The Olsen twins.
You're both from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Is that red or blue? Shenoah Allen/Chavez: Brown.
It's winter. Why are you in Toronto? Chavez: I wanted to feel on the outside what I feel on the inside.
Are you tired of doing the Fringe circuit? Allen: No, but I am tired of my fringe haircut. Chavez: No... I like it when people ask me if we're "still doing little skits."
How are you spending Valentine's Day? Chavez: Helping to prove my point that all mobile phones should be equipped with a breathalyzer.
Why did Brad and Jen split up? Allen: Well, Jen started seeing my brother, and that made Brad really upset.... Wait, I don't think I'm talking about the same Brad and Jen as you. Chavez: Both were fantasizing about Brad Pitt during sex.
If there were a Pajama Men DVD, what extras would be on it? Chavez: We try to keep our shows pretty clean, so naturally the outtakes are mostly humping.
