Coyote, Beautiful directed and performed by Keith Cole, part of Canada Dances (see above). Rating: NNN Rating: NNN
Keith Cole, decked out like an oversized Anne Francis, dances and cavorts on a railway track, spinning out of control and running through urban courtyards and streets. Who is this mystery woman? A faded cabaret star? A prostitute? It doesn’t matter. The retro queen seduces with sheer energy. And Cole’s hand-processed film, with its bluesy score, shows how fear, paranoia and free-floating anxiety can be registered through movement.
