Partly a lesson in how to get along, Eep And Coo And The Island That Flew is a gentle children’s show that blends puppetry and mask work.

Eep is a member of the stationary bird colony (the stay birds) on the island of Potentia, whose members worry about a migratory bird group (the away birds, including Coo) driven by heavy winds to land in Potentia. Can the two distrusting groups, who speak different languages, become friends?

The creator/performers (Gabriela Petrov, Alexandra Montagnese and Ruthie Pytka-Jones) provide some charming shadow and rod puppetry and a cappella songs, but the framing device involving a storyteller quickly becomes tedious.
