That’s How I Remember It is a regular podcast in which The Nice Guys (John Richardson, Michael Mongiardi, Raul Delgado and Sharjil Rasool) choose a movie and create an improvised version. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as well live onstage at Fringe.

Throughout the run, a veteran improviser will join the young troupe at each performance, a welcome addition to keep the pace up and the story on track. The day I attended Ken Hall lent his considerable talents for a recreation of Toy Story 2.

Although individually each performer had strong moments, they haven’t really gelled as a group and often break up at their own jokes. The strongest material is prerecorded, including a spoof of Cineplex preshow ads, a fake trailer and a commercial.
