A hundred years in the future, a wannabe musical theatre performer living under the thumb of an oppressive Trump-like autocracy refuses to let the impending apocalypse get in the way of her dreams. Dystopian-sci-fi musical comedy is not the easiest genre mix to pull off, especially with a cast of just three, but Miriam Drysdale‘s show — which she wrote, produces and stars in — frequently explodes with cleverness and creativity.

Sam Roulston and Haritha Popuri are very funny in supporting roles, but much of the piece rides on Drysdale’s charm as a performer, and she carries the proceedings with a soaring voice and immense likeability.
