Rating: NNNNN

Don’t get fooled by Jim Annan, Scott Montgomery and Kurt Smeaton looking affable in their button-down shirts and singing a Rat Pack-type song near the top of the show about the importance of having pals. Just like those legendary dudes in Vegas, there’s a dark side to Falcon Powder, and it’s the twisted hilarity that provides some of the most entertaining and memorable sketches in God’s Beard!

Falcon Powder excels at quirky, black comedy that remains tight and smartly written throughout. The show is shaped by a recurring sketch about storm chasers, with other memorable scenes throwing in the nostalgia of an old TV show theme song or a video arcade.

But the biggest rewards and laughs happen in the darkest moments. The group kills with a fresh take on euthanasia, and next time you’re stuck on a tarmac you’ll probably be replaying their airline sketch.

Precise timing and fresh material make the guys behind God’s Beard! the supreme beings of sketch comedy.
