Shadowland Theatre

Think the Toronto Islands are just a cool place to visit in the summer? Shadowland’s Anne Barber and Brad Harley have been showing us a lot more of the Islands and their history since 1983, with site-specific productions involving stiltwalkers, fireworks, puppetry and a troupe of community-based performers and designers. Who else would think to connect Don Quixote and a sunken boat that lies off Algonquin Island (Quixsand), or offer a communal feast along with an exploration of dining rituals at various points of a walkabout tour (The Essence Of Ambrose Ichor)?
