HERALDING HAROLD Awards season is upon us. Next Monday (May 15), the $25,000 Floyd S. Chalmers Awards are announced at swanky Pangaea Restaurant. Across town, at the more downscale but comfy Rex Hotel (194 Queen West), the no less important Harold Awards honouring outstanding contributions in the performing arts will be handed out. WINGING IT Recently interviewed at the World Stage fest, playwright Arthur Kopit's had a career that spans nearly four decades. His 1970s play Wings is one of his best, and certainly his most moving. It's about a former aviatrix who suffers a stroke and loses her ability to speak and understand language.
