A New Brain is not the title of Stephen Harper's memoir. It's the title of William Finn's 1998 off-Broadway musical directly inspired by his experience with arteriovenous malformation, a disease of the circulatory system.
Acting Up, the same company that successfully mounted Finn's Elegies: A Song Cycle, is producing the show, with a cast of musical mainstays like Steven Gallagher, Barbara Barsky and Wolfson, a powerhouse performer (Beauty And The Beast, Fire!, Shaking The Foundations, for which she won a Dora), who needs to be seen more on local stages. Are you a singer who acts or an actor who sings?
I don't limit myself. That's the casting agent's job.
You could be Roseanne Barr's daughter. Ever wonder?
I wonder at people who think I would take that as a compliment. I am Annie Ross's offspring. Look her up, but don't tell her.
Let's play groundhog. How many more weeks of winter?
No way. My mother warned me about playing animal games with guys like you.
