This outdoor site-specific family-friendly enviro-drama provides a clear and comprehensive introduction to the critical issue of water politics.
The setup isn’t anything new: a greedy business man wants to bottle and sell water from a small town’s river, promising jobs, but also threatening the surrounding ecosystem. The story follows a child’s coming to consciousness on the issue and his unlikely partnership with a mysterious farmer to try an save their shared natural space.
The plot might be predictable, but along with a strong cast, it serves its educational purpose well, illustrating the complex and interdependent nature of economic and natural systems and showing the power and potential of grassroots activism.
