Getting to the main site of site- specific performance group bluemouth inc ‘s latest show is more complicated than ever. It involves a lot of running, crouching and leaning up against walls in alleys. (Note: avoid wearing open-toed shoes.) The performance itself is more punk circus than theatre, and though there are several riveting images – many involving wall-climbing and wrestling in the atmospheric crumbling warehouse – the text is less suggestive and powerful than in the company’s previous shows. There’s a sense of ritual to the piece and some strong multimedia elements – bluemouth inc. uses movement and music better than almost any other troupe in town – but dialogue about war and bombs sounds didactic and fails to detonate.
