Erasure The Tank, The Swan And The Balloon Live! (Mute) Rating: NNNN Rating: NNNN
This is a live concert by Erasure from 1992, and finds them in an extravagant theatrical mood. Call me naive, but I had no idea they were this gay - we're talking sequined buttless chaps, four ABBA covers, a version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow and a full-on Broadway-style show, with more prancing and posing than a circuit party.
It's fun faggy camp, and if you're into them you'll appreciate the bonus CD of interview footage with Andy Bell and the costume designer and choreographer. Be warned, though, it's a bit long - casual fans will get bored long before the end.
