The title of the new Bond movie, the inexplicable Quantum Of Solace, is not the title of the new Bond theme song. Accoring to Alicia Keys, it’s Another Way To Die, which sounds like every Pierce Brosnan Bond movie ever made.

Keys was in Toronto over the weekend pulling double duty. First, she was promoting her new movie, The Secret Life of Bees, which premiered at TIFF. She stars in the film alongside pal La (aka Queen Latifah) and Dakota Fanning.
Second, Keys was shooting the video for Another Way to Die with Jack White, who wrote the song and was here also promoting the TIFF doc It Might Get Loud.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of the White Stripes and Jack White,” Keys told me in an interview. “We have such an interesting mix of styles.”
She went on to say that the song isn’t the same Bond theme Amy Winehouse was supposed to record until she had her meltdown.
So what does the new song sound like? “It has all the Bond elements to it – very energetic and explosive, lots of valleys and peaks, very raw, soulful, rocky. It’s hardcore, I love it.”
Keys also let on that she’s seen the new Bond film to give her an idea what the song was about.
“It’s great. But not as good as Secret Life of Bees.”
