Pain Perdue is one of Toronto’s tastiest immersion classes. To casually nosh to the tune of the French conversation and the whir of the Hobart in this woody Basque bakery is transatlantic transport par excellence. A sweet tooth is especially well-served at Perdue by an exemplary pain raisin, all fruity nuggets in a coil of buttery dough. Gateaux Basques with custard centre and fine crumb exterior also delight.
