Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey filmmaker Sam Dunn will discuss controversies in the world of metal in a weekly online debate-club show produced by his company, Banger Films.
Lock Horns debuted November 5 at 2 pm EST on BangerTV’s YouTube channel and will live-stream at that time every Thursday in November. Each episode focuses on a different metal sub-genre, with Dunn asking viewers to tell him which bands should stay and which should be dropped from Banger’s Metal Family Tree.
“Almost every day for the past 10 years we’ve heard from metal fans about what they like and what they don’t like about the tree,” Dunn explains in a video announcing the show. “Mostly what you don’t like. And so we’re updating the tree, and you’re going to have a chance to have your say.”
The premiere featured Cancer Bats/Axewound singer Liam Cormier discussing metalcore. To watch or subscribe, visit youtube.com/bangerTV.
