Bella Hadid is coming to Toronto to launch a new panel series

Model Bella Hadid is coming to Toronto to participate in a panel discussion at creative incubator Hxouse.

The panel is part of a free monthly series of discussions and workshops called In-Hxouse: Conversations about the intersection of design, fashion, technology and media.

Launched last year by The Weeknd’s creative director La Mar Taylor and Ahmed Ismail, Hxouse mentors Toronto entrepreneurs interested in breaking into the worlds of music, fashion and design. Abel Tesfaye’s girlfriend is among a group of high-powered speakers who will help kick off the panel series.

The series will launch with the Errolson Hughes, the Canadian-born founder of Berlin sportswear brand Acronym founder, on March 29. Then, on April 1, Hadid will participate in an all-women panel alongside Jen Rubio of lifestyle brand Away, Blavity and AfroTech founder Morgan DeBaun, actor and author La La Anthony and Animatou Sow, cofounder of the group Tech LadyMafia. Olivia Perez of lifestyle newsletter Friend Of A Friend will moderate.

Taylor said in a statement he hopes the panel series, which is made possible through a sponsorship with Microsoft, “will lead to increased morale and optimism for young entrepreneurs in Canada struggling to find their voice. That spark and exchange of fresh ideas will help create new ventures that will ignite our own economy.”

Future events will be announced on Hxouse socials Twitter and Instagram

Hxouse launched last November with a a star-studded concert at Rebel later that night and is housed in newly opened Artscape Daniels Launchpad. Last year, Hxouse hosted a panel on how to break into the music industry.
