Although the prospect of Timbaland writing the majority of this record’s music, along with contributions from Kanye West and Organized Noize, seemed promising, the even tone and lack of emotional punch in Brandy’s voice detract from the personal touch she gives the lyrics. It makes for a record that sounds fairly decent but causes drowsiness. Her vocals also sound very processed, but not in the blatant way that made her earlier hit What About Us so satisfiying.
