BUZZCOCKS

Rating: NNN

Seminal UK pop punk band the Buzzcocks are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a live album that comes two songs short of matching the title. Chances are most of us haven’t really kept up with the boys since their early days, but it sounds like they haven’t evolved much in the meantime.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though the maturing of other punk bands of their era led to some disappointing declines. They still sound like the Buzzcocks. While the newer material won’t eclipse What Do I Get or Orgasm Addict, it still fits into what we love about them without destroying the nostalgia.
