Career Suicide

Rating: NNNN

Although the need to anthologize a relatively new and still active punk rock band may seem very, very silly, it makes more sense when you take into account that the assembled releases in question consist of vinyl-only prints and two demo cassettes. This album is an even 44 tracks of fast and short songs, all of which feature brattily shouted vocals by Martin Farkas that sometimes bring to mind the sound of early Circle Jerks and similar dissatisfied rowdies who played quality early-80s hardcore. Guitarist Jonah Falco’s songwriting is often to the point and adds to the genre, and although the recording quality varies throughout, the band has a raw musical drive that will easily win over fans of the genre.
