DANZIG

DANZIG I Luciferi (Spitfire/EMI) Rating: NN Rating: NN

Yup, the stocky little man known as Danzig who once held a seminal place in the worlds of punk and metal still thinks he’s Satan’s spawn. I Luciferi is everything you might expect from the man who gave us Blackacidevil and, more recently, 6:66 Satan’s Child — ooky spooky, riff-heavy, raw, simplistic industrial metal ladled with lust and Lucifer shtick, though slightly less industrial and more rock than his previous two releases. It will either make you giggle or cringe at its images of angry teenage boys locked in their bedrooms wailing on the air guitar. Frankly, both the joke and the scary little man are getting a little tiresome.
