Do Make Say Think

Rating: NNNN

Do Make Say Think have generally been described as an atmospheric instrumental post-rock band, but on this their fifth full-length, they’ve flipped the script a bit. For the first time, some songs are led by vocals, and the vibe is more campfire song than art gallery experimentation. Have no fear – these are good things. DMST are at their best when you feel like you’re in the room watching them write, and this disc captures that intimacy beautifully. It’s still epic – and a bit grandiose at times – but in a charmingly human and believable way.
