Evan Biddell could easily ride the fashion reality TV train into obscurity like so many Project Runwayers and Next Top Modellers before him. But behind all his audience-baiting bravado is enough talent to propel him from boob-tube star to bona fide designer.
Not that we mind his chutzpah. When we asked what to expect from his March 17 show, which opens Fashion Week, he responds, “The sun rising on an army of darkness.” What do you hope the response will be from media and buyers? “Respect. And a bazillion dollars!”
Biddell has already earmarked a portion of his bazillions for Keep A Child Alive, mentor and PRC host Iman’s pet charity. Ten dollars from the sale of every organic cotton “Addicted to Biddell” T-shirt available through his website benefits the AIDS in Africa organization.
