Friday, April 21:

Lumière: The Art of Light 

You can explore the illuminating outdoor light exhibition, Lumière, at Trillium Park. The exhibit offers visitors a chance to experience art in a new way. Created by Ontario artists, the pieces utilize innovation, discovery and above all, light. Artists and creators say the theme is “renewal” to celebrate the change of seasons from winter to spring.

Mountain

Mountain is a cinematic and musical collaboration between the Australian Chamber Orchestra and BAFTA-nominated director Jennifer Peedom. It’s a film that centers around the beauty of mountains, the force of high places and how it can shape our lives and dreams.

Snakehips – Never Worry Album Tour – North America 2023

DJ duo, Snakehips, is coming to Toronto for their Never Worry Album Tour at the Danforth Music Hall. The duo, composed of Oliver Lee and James Carter, is famously known for their 2015 hit “All My Friends,” featuring Tinashe and Chance The Rapper.

ANDY WARHOL – THE FIRST DECADE: NYC 1952-1962

Caviar20 is showcasing the work of iconic artist, Andy Warhol. The exhibition includes rarely seen, unique, and original Warhol drawings and prints from the 1950s. This body of work is different from Warhol’s successful commercial pieces as these works come from the artist’s estate and the Andy Warhol Foundation.

Dry Ground Burning

You can see the first showing of Dry Ground Burning at Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema. The film is about Léa who returns home to the Brasilia favela of Sol Nascente after just being released from prison. She reunites with her half-sister Chitara, who is a fearless leader of an all-female gang.
