Food delivery driver dies after violent carjacking in Mississauga

A food delivery driver who was accosted and critically injured while completing an order in Mississauga has died, Peel police say.

On July 9, at 2:10 a.m, the victim was completing a delivery in the area of Britannia and Creditview roads.

He was confronted by unknown suspects who were allegedly attempting to steal his vehicle when a physical altercation occurred, police said in a news release on Monday. 

The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, leaving the victim at the side of the road with life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a trauma centre where he died from his injuries on July 14, police said.

The victim has been identified as Gurvinder Nath, a 24-year-old man from Brampton.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at 905-453-3311, extension 3410.
