Holly Lewis

Rating: NNNNN

Who: Holly Lewis, film, television, theatre and radio actor

WHERE: Queen and Pape

WHEN: Thursday afternoon

ClothES: “I got these boots at Nine West (93 Bloor West, 416-920-3519) for $120 – I couldn’t get my actor friend Jacklyn Francis’s parking validated otherwise. The jeans are from Club Monaco (Eaton’s Centre, 416-977-2064, and others), where they were on sale for around $39. I picked out this sweater with my omi (grandmother), who bought it for me as a present at Jacob in London, Ontario, for $55. The gorgeous embroidered peacock dress was a birthday gift from my friend Dana Osborne, a talented theatre designer. She got it at Value Village (924 Queen East, 416-778-4818, and others). I can’t wear it onstage, since peacock feathers are considered bad luck in the theatre. My down vest was a Christmas gift from my in-laws – you’d love them. Last weekend, my handsome husband, director Daryl Cloran, gave me these earrings for our first wedding anniversary. I got the Austrian crystal bracelet at Lowon Pope Design (779 Queen West, 416-504-8150) for my wedding. My mom, Toronto artist Clarissa Lewis, bought it for me for my ‘something new.’ I got my ears pierced at Yonge Street Tattoos (602 Yonge, 416-929-2285).”

Hair: “I got this cut in Shediac, New Brunswick, from Gloria, the hair assistant on the film These Girls, which I just finished.”

My Style: “Ass-kicking wallflower.”

COMING UP: “Currently, you can hear me in Steve: The First

on CBC Radio One 99.1 for the next three Saturdays at 11:30 am. It’s a warped comedy about a post-apocalyptic world where the sky rains fire, dogs explode and the survivors are slowly melting. I play Steve’s reluctant girlfriend, Colleen. I even get to kick some giant mutant scorpion ass in one episode. After that, I’m off to Cape Town, South Africa, with Theatre- front to develop an international theatre co-creation with South African actors. After that… probably a nap.”
