“He was kinda short” is an often-overheard star-spotting remark from fans underwhelmed by the height of their favourite actor. Not that there’s anything wrong with being small-statured, except when it comes to shopping for suits and other menswear staples.
Big brands focus on the mid-to-upper range of the size spectrum, leaving littler guys swimming in stock devoid of extra-smalls. Icon has come to the rescue of slim-fit-starved fellas, and its Yorkville address makes it a convenient shop for petit celebs.
Suit sizes range from 34 short to 38 tall and can be paired with similarly svelte shirts, ties and Ts. Everything bears Icon’s private label, and co-owners Lisandro Palabrica, Christian Mejorada and Richard Fink have a hand in making sure every piece fits just right.
