When it rains celebrity chef appearances, it pours. Last week, Noma chef Rene Redzepi announced a Toronto appearance to launch his new cookbook, and it looks like Food Network personality Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa herself, will be next in spring of 2019.
Garten is set to appear at Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (1 Front East, at Yonge) on April 11 to promote her latest, Cook Like A Pro. Joined by an as-yet-unannounced moderator — can someone please get Roxane Gay on the line? — Garten “will share stories that bring you behind the scenes of life in the Hamptons, filming her television show, writing bestselling cookbooks and enjoying food with friends and family,” venue staff say in a release.
An audience Q&A will follow, and signed books will be available. Tickets (starting at $69) go on sale this Friday, September 28 at 10 am.
