Japan aid

Michael and Nobuyo Stadlander have just released the details of a benefit dinner they will be holding in aid of the victims of the recent Japanese earthquake and tsunami disaster.

The entirely volunteer-based event takes place on Sunday March 27th at Boehmer and costs $250 per person plus tax and gratuity. Because they’ll only take cash or cheques, 100% of the cash raised goes to the Japanese Relief Fund.

The evening starts at 5 pm with cocktails and hors d’ouevres then continues with a sit-down five-course dinner. Cooking that night will be a who’s who of Toronto chefs including Daisuke Izutsu of Kaiseki Sakura, Chris McDonald of Cava, Anthony Rose of the Drake, Anthony Walsh of Canoe, James Higgins of the George Brown culinary school, Adam Colquhoun of Oyster Boy and Jamie Kennedy of Gilead Café and Michael Statdlander of Eigensinn Farm reunited under mentor Hiro Yoshido.

Tickets are sure to sell-out almost immediately. Contact Milana at 416-531-3800 to reserve.
