Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, others parody Rob Ford on Letterman

Has our exhaustion-slash-contempt for warmed-over Rob Ford jokes been showing? Sorry. But we thought it was done. All the jokes were dead. There were no more jokes.

Well, folks…we were wrong! We’re putting on a lobster bib and eating our words. Because here is a Rob Ford joke that’s actually funny. Or passably funny. Like, it’s not as funny as Norm Macdonald’s Larry King impression, the funniest thing that exist. But it’s OK.

Last night on Letterman, late night’s funniest funnyman presented a parody of Rob Ford’s “Yes I have smoked crack cocaine” statement, delivered in the style of Ken Burns documentary. So really it’s more of a Ken Burns joke. But all the same. Look at all those tasteful slow zooms! Listen to the tinkly Music Of Import!

Of course, the best part belongs to Letterman, who dries his eyes after the video, as if he’s been deeply touched, before clarifying, “I’m not even Canadian, ladies and gentlemen.”
