An awkward encounter between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is going viral.

The video has reached more than half a million views in less than 24 hours.

In the video from Tuesday,Trudeau offers his hand to a reluctant Smith who takes it with little to no enthusiasm.  

This left Trudeau with no other option than to pick up her limp palm and take it into his own.  

This happened during a sit-down with other Canadian premiers, where Ottawa layed out its nearly $200 billion health-care plan that will be distributed over the next decade.

It’s no secret Smith isn’t the biggest Trudeau fan and has reportedly accused the federal government of trying to ruin Alberta’s oil and gas industry with a green transition legislation. 

Smith also holds a weekly podcast where she talks about politics and is known to take jabs at the federal government. She has been very vocal about her refusal to follow federal laws if it means putting jobs at risk for Albertans.
