Michelle covers stories related to community and culture, with a particular interest in millennials, race, gender, mental health and electronic music. In 2017, she won a Next Gen/Diversity Scholarship from the Association of Alternative News Media, and she's been a finalist for the National Magazine Awards and Digital Publishing Awards. Michelle moved to Toronto in 2015 from Vancouver, where she worked at The Georgia Straight. In her spare time, she loves riding her bike, trying new restaurants and managing her cat's Instagram account.
