Neil Gaiman

Popular fantasy writer Neil Gaiman has a rock-solid fan base, which makes every new book a very big deal. The Ocean At The End Of The Lane ($27.99 William Morrow) – a stand-alone adult novel and not, note, part of a series – tells the story of a middle-aged man whose visit to his childhood home unleashes memories of his unusual neighbours, a family comprising three generations of women. Seems supernatural events figured prominently back then. Gaiman makes a rare Toronto appearance Tuesday (August 6) at the Danforth Music Hall, where he’ll answer questions and sign books.
