Outsiders2012

Who: Seeingred (Ramune Luminaire, Judith Mason, Micky Renders, Anne Renouf and Kim Renders)

Where: Eaton Centre, 220 Yonge

Why: From their headquarters in the Urban Eatery, the Outsiders, life-sized human-shaped plastic beings, will spread through the downtown – with our help. Like those gods who come to earth in humble disguises to test mortals’ compassion, they’re here to shed light on how we treat strangers. Their message: “I am an Outsider. If you find me, take me with you, take a photo, pass me on. Post photos to Twitter or Facebook (Outsiders2012).” Images of their adventures will be projected at headquarters. Like their creations, the visual and theatre artists of Seeingred, most of whom live in Peterborough, feel like they come from a parallel universe when visiting Toronto.
