There was barely enough sidewalk room today to contain the hundreds of thousands of spectators at The 107th Annual Toronto Santa Claus Parade. The parade was led by 175 ‘celebrity clowns’ and Mayor Rob Ford, who threw handfuls of candy canes into the crowd.
The parade started at Christie Pits park, wound it’s way across Bloor St W, down University Ave and across Wellington and Front St, ending up in front of St. Lawrence Market.
There were plenty of marching bands playing the usual Christmas fare as well as some Lady Gaga tunes.
