Vegan, GF, nut-free cafe coming to Saks Fifth Avenue

The Eaton Centre doesn’t lack for snacks, but if you’re vegan or have a food sensitivity, you may have found your options for sweet treats rather limited. Thankfully, when the new, Pusateri’s-curated “food hall” opens inside Saks Fifth Avenue’s swank flagship location on Queen, they’ll have you covered with a brand-new outpost of Sorelle And Co., a Vaughan-based cafe that specializes in “worry-free” treats.

On top of the other offerings in the food hall (which, if the current location at Saks Sherway Gardens is any indication, will feature breads from Blackbird Bakery, Sullivan and Bleeker cupcakes and Pingue prosciutto by the slice), Sorelle is about to open a 400-square-foot concept that will offer everything from cupcakes and Nanaimo bars to grilled “cheese” sandwiches and coffee.

The company promises that all items will be “gluten-free, soy-free, sesame-free, vegan, nut-free, and preservative-free, providing a rare opportunity to experience high quality cuisine without the worry.” Look for Sorelle — and the rest of the food hall — to open on November 10.
