On August 29, the Japan Foundation, Toronto welcomes jockey Daisuke Fukumoto to an evening of conversation. Mr. Fukumoto will talk about his career as a professional horse jockey, his achievements at Canada’s own Woodbine Racetrack, the cultures of horseracing in Japan versus Canada, as well as his feats on the international stage. Horse racing fans and laypeople alike will wish to tune in as we discuss Mr. Fukumoto’s training regime, a modern-day jockey’s relationship with animals, as well as his hopes for the welfare of racehorses after retirement.
This is an in-person ONLY event, and prior registration is required. A Q+A with the audience will immediately follow the jockey talk.
