Winterlicious

Reservations are now being accepted at more than 150 local eateries for Toronto’s seventh annual Winterlicious food fest. The prix fixe event runs from January 30 to February 15. Despite the faltering economy, prices are higher than ever before three-course dinners at previously popular Canoe, Truffles and Auberge du Pommier now top out at $45, an increase of 10 bucks. But frugal foodies can still find bargains. Lunch goes for only $15 at bistros Midi (168 McCaul, at Elm, 416-977-2929) and Beer (18 King East, at Yonge, 416-861-9872) and dinner for $25 at Rodney Bowers’s Citizen (730 Queen East, at Broadview, 416-465-0100) and Isam Kaisi‘s 93 Harbord (93 Harbord, at Robert, 416-922-5914).
