SUMMARY:The Christmas Story
DESCRIPTION:The Christmas Story is one of Toronto’s oldest holiday traditions.  First performed in 1938\, this traditional Nativity pageant is based on Gospel passages from the King James Version of the Bible. Performances run Dec. 6-21\, 2025. \nRunning time: 1 hr\, 15 minutes. \nThe story unfolds through a series of narrated scenes linked by beautiful organ music and carols from an unseen choir.  Close to 50 volunteers\, including babies who take turns playing the role of baby Jesus\, perform in the cast. \nSuggested donation: Adults $25\, Children $10.  Reservations are recommended via www.thechristmasstory.ca  \nThe Church of the Holy Trinity is wheelchair accessible.  The performance on Friday\, December 19th at 7pm will have ASL interpretation. \nTradition\, community\, innocence\, trembling nerves\, miracles and soaring choral music: this not-to-be-missed Nativity play is a calming antidote to a hectic season and a troubled world.
