DESCRIPTION:Ian Strung\, host of “Cancon Classx” on the widely syndicated P.O. Box Radio Show has put together a tremendous lineup of rising Canadian indie rock talent for the very first Fenwick Fest. \nFenwick Fest is a celebration of Strung’s deep love for highlighting and boosting fellow artists across the country\, focusing on Southern Ontario for this inaugural edition. \nIn addition to performing himself as Gran Fenwick to share his most recent single “Forever” (which has been getting airplay around the world) and the August 21st release of his next single “Armour Hill” (featuring Jen Simpson of Neon Bloom)\, Strung has assembled three bands from different sub-scenes in the Southern Ontario area. \nToronto’s Bank Heist\, a genre-crossing club rock band that features Sean Oggy and Sean Solazzo of These Evil Eyes. \nSmoking In Bed (Toronto)\, a new pop-punk band anchored by lead singer Tina Louise and Steve Calucci of No Sunshine Collective and formerly Doghouse Rose\, in addition to drummer Jacob Schmor of The Mollies. \nToronto/Newmarket punk rock group Hysterics close the night. Aptly named\, the band is as hilarious as they are loud and menacing.
