SUMMARY:Tiger Bride
DESCRIPTION:A fairy tale with teeth. \nA rock-fueled\, punk-infused reimagining of Angela Carter’s The Tiger’s Bride\, this electrifying song cycle turns Beauty and the Beast inside out. Here\, the Beast doesn’t become a man—instead\, the Girl becomes something wilder. Blurring the lines between girl and woman\, human and animal\, power and submission\, Tiger Bride is a raw\, gothic horror pulsing with sex\, fury\, and transformation. Part rock concert\, part cabaret\, part theatre\, this is no tidy fairy tale—it’s an untamed\, unapologetic roar.

SUMMARY:Movie Night @ Soulpepper: Really Happy Someday
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Soulpepper Theatre for a screening of Really Happy Someday\, an indie drama set firmly in Toronto\, featuring beloved local actors.  \nBefore he transitioned\, Z (Breton Lalama) was a rising musical theatre star struggling with his gender identity. One year into taking testosterone\, he has finally started to feel at home in his body but has lost all control of his voice. At the same time\, Z’s long-term partner\, Danielle (Khadijah Roberts-Abdullah)\, feels she’s lost the person she fell in love with. Unable to book work with his changing voice\, Z starts bartending where his new boss\, Santi\, emboldens him to fight for himself and his dreams. Z starts working with a singing instructor\, Shelly\, to learn how to use his new voice\, and maybe even trust himself. \nStick around after the screening for a discussion between film co-writer and star Breton Lalama and Soulpepper Artistic Director Paolo Santalucia.  \nFree general admission. More info and tickets here .

SUMMARY:Medusa
DESCRIPTION:A furious\, fearless imagining of Medusa’s story. \nBefore the serpents\, before the legend\, there was a woman caught in a world that feared her power. Pulled through time from ancient myth to a modern day Rage Room\, Medusa is a raw\, electrifying dive into female fury—the kind that’s been silenced\, punished\, and finally set free. As she grapples with the voices that haunt her\, the forces that shape her\, and the rage that refuses to be contained\, the production unfolds as an immersive audio experience\, placing audiences inside Medusa’s mind. Through headphones\, you hear the whispers and hisses of her serpents in your ears—present in her inner world\, but unheard by those around her. \nVisceral\, theatrical\, and unflinching\, this is a story that will either release your inner serpents or turn you to stone.

SUMMARY:Happy Days
DESCRIPTION:Trapped in the earth\, clinging to hope. \nWinnie is buried up to her waist—and later\, her neck—but she refuses to give in. Armed with a bag of everyday objects\, she fills the long hours with routine\, memory\, and relentless optimism. Meanwhile\, her companion\, Willie\, lingers just out of reach\, offering little but the occasional muttered word. \nIs Winnie’s cheerfulness a sign of madness\, resilience\, or something in between? Stark\, unsettling\, and darkly funny\, Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days is a haunting meditation on endurance\, isolation\, and the human need to keep going\, no matter what.
