DESCRIPTION:A special treat! Eric has created a program for clarinet and string quartet\, featuring four of his TSO colleagues. He has been TSO’s principal clarinet since 2021. A Montreal native\, he was named CBC Next! artist in 2013\, Vandoren Emerging Artist of the year in 2017\, and was a Sylva Gelber Career Grant recipient in 2016. Eric has been featured as a soloist with numerous orchestras including the l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec\, and the NAC Orchestra. Joining Eric are his TSO colleagues Luri Lee & Kun Yan\, violins\, Rémi Pelletier\, viola\, and Lucia Ticho\, cello. \nThe program will feature Gershwin\, Bartok\, Ravel clarinet arrangements along with the virtuosic von Weber Clarinet Quintet in B-flat Major\, Op. 34.

He is a Virginia Parker Prize laureate. \nDavid has recorded two volumes of Prokofiev’s piano works to great acclaim. He will perform Sonatas Opp. 29 (C minor)\, 14 (D minor)\, 82 (A Major) plus 10 Pieces for Piano\, Op. 12.

DESCRIPTION:In 2012\, Amsterdam’s Busch Trio formed at the Royal College of Music\, London. They have appeared on Europe’s major stages: Wigmore Hall\, Berlin’s Konzerthaus\, and the Concertgebouw. The Times described them as having ‘effortless musicianship’\, The Gramophone as a ‘true delight from start to finish’ and Süddeutsche Zeitung as ‘the leading piano trio of their generation’. They won the 2016 Kersjes Prijs (Netherlands) and 2018 Nordmetall-Ensemble (Mecklenburg Festival). Their 2023 Ravel\, Shostakovich album was selected as a chamber choice BBC Music Magazine. \nThey play rare instruments by Guadagnini (1783) and Ceruti (1815). Their program includes piano trios by Haydn\, Schumann\, and Beethoven\, Op. 97 Archduke.

DESCRIPTION:Bryan Cheng and Leonard Disselhorst \nBerlin-based CelloFellos are two internationally recognized musicians who are expanding the classical music repertoire. They immerse themselves in the worlds of jazz\, tango\, folk and other international dance influences in search of the most beautiful sounds\, which they transform into music for two cellos. All pieces are arrangements or original compositions. Their “Global Grooves” programme spans across centuries and continents\, from ancient Chinese melodies to traditional Balkan folk tunes\, jazz and western classical works. \nBryan plays the ca. 1696 “Bonjour” Stradivari cello on loan from the Canada Council Music Instrument Bank.
