imagine mounting a show of art made for sheer pleasure. No pain, no gain, you say?Not according to the four women working in different disciplines who have created Small And Delicious, a show that proves that aesthetic delight doesn’t need to be lightweight.

Costume maker Mary Janiero crafts four exquisite miniature corsets that track her sartorial perception of Eurocentric history. Textile artist Rachel MacHenry fabricates three audacious evening bags from felt, silk and distorted-by-heat fused plastic.

Lily Yung’s wire-and-bead jewellery resembles nothing so much as Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic domes, while Moira Roe’s resin-coated brass creations, including macaroni and bean rings, are rich in humour. Her baby-pink and -blue spermatozoa, in particular, are fabulous.
