The city is in for a mouth watering weekend.
That’s because Night Market Toronto (NMTO) is coming to the Harbourfront Centre this weekend with the ultimate halal food festival in tow.
The founders of NMTO are no strangers to the food scene. In 2022, the food festival tour saw 125,000 visitors in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) across eight weeks.
This year, it rolled out on May 12 in Mississauga, and has been travelling around to different cities every weekend since.
The tour has completed stops in Milton, London, Ontario, Ajax and Brampton.
This weekend is the final tour stop and will go down at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre from Saturday, June 17 to Sunday, June 18.
“[The] aim is to ensure that the Muslim community has peace of mind coming to the food tour, where no concerns should be felt and everything should be enjoyed,” the organization said in a statement to Now Toronto.
There’s lots of food options to enjoy from all over the world. Vendors will be strictly serving halal meat and poultry. This is also a non-alcoholic event.
The festival runs Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
