Toronto just welcomed a new restaurant that promises to take Greek food to the next level, and that’s exactly what you can expect.
Paros, located in Yorkville, is a restaurant where culinary traditions meet a modern twist thanks to a fusion of flavours.
Now Toronto got the chance to be among the first to preview the space where the vibe of the Mediterranean beautifully collided with the scenic Greek islands.
The decor was nothing short of incredible and for a moment you forget you’re in Toronto.
“It’s not just the food that makes Paros a unique destination. Our vibrant and energetic atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable night out,” the restaurant’s website reads.
Despite the stunning architecture, the food is what truly gave people something to talk about.
The first course was impressive and featured a trio dip that included melitzanosalata, which is a Greek eggplant dip, htipiti, a Greek red pepper and feta dip, and finally good-old tzatziki, which was my favourite dip, considering I eat it often.
Still, in the first course was an epic Greek salad that had heirloom tomatoes, sesame crusted feta, red onion, olives, cucumber topped with a Greek vinaigrette.
Finally, I tried the zucchini chips which were surprisingly good and fun to eat.
The second course was where the fun really began, starting with jumbo grilled shrimps drenched in lemon garlic and butter sauce.
Also served was grilled branzino and wagyu steak which were both quite tasty in their own right.
However, the real star of the show were the to-die-for lamb chops that came with a beautiful green Paros house sauce. The pairing was genius and easily a fan favourite for many.
Paros officially opens its door on Friday and you can book your reservation here.
