Toronto’s very own Drake says he’s been thinking about retiring from music.
Drizzy sat down with American rapper Lil Yachty for a conversation and a teaser of the interview was released Thursday on the Instagram account for Yachty’s FUTUREMOOD sunglasses brand.
Yachty captioned the video “A Moody Conversation feat. 🛥️ & 🦉 dropping tomorrow. One for the ages.”
In the teaser, Drake says he’s been thinking about taking a step back from music.
“I think I’m at the point now where, I think we talked about this the other day, I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit,” he said.
In another teaser video of Yachty and Drake laughing, Yachty said the full interview would be released on Friday.
Drake, also known as champagne papi on his Instagram account, started out his career as a teen actor on Degrassi and then rose to rap stardom.
The 36-year-old was born and raised in Toronto and has recorded seven studio albums.
He often represents his city in his lyrics and music videos. He is also known for frequently attending Toronto Raptors games and other events around the city.
